The Training and Placement Cell of Sunbeam women’s College Varuna envisions equipping the students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and knowledge to meet the requirements of different industries. The placement activities are augmented by a plethora of campus engagement activities viz. Guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and career and pre-placement talks which shall provide an insight into the corporate world. Through the SWC Placement Cell, the Sunbeams get a chance to interact with Thought Leaders, Management Experts, and Global Academicians every year through Leadership Talks, Master classes, and Conclaves. The result is holistic grooming of students in terms of acumen, leadership, and core values.

Not only industrial visits, Sunbeam College is associated with numerous companies and organizations for annual Internships and Recruitment proceedings every year. We have numerous MoUs signed with various authorized bodies for different academic and co-curricular activities. SWC Varuna students under their capacity and along with the able guidance of the professors and the Placement Cell of the College, every year grab various opportunities of interning at diversified reputed firms, start-up industries, banking sector, airlines, and retail stores. Some of the key recruiters are as follows; Deloitte, PWC, HDFC Bank, ICIC Bank, Policybazar.com, DECATHLON Sports India, Concentrix, Genpact, Unschool, Global Arcus, Tata Consultancy Services, SPACE India, Indigo Airlines, TAJ Ganges Hotels and many more.

We, at Women’s College Varuna equally emphasize both the parameters of knowledge expansion via theory and demonstrative skills with an exposure to the global & multifarious industrial platforms. At SWCV, we invite several highly accomplished executives for various Guest Lecture events across the entire Academic session. Being a Post Graduate college of Eastern Uttar Pradesh, we focus primarily on professionally-oriented higher educational exposure with the help of the alliance of many reputed corporate offices & organizations

Career Guidance and Counseling cell

The aim of Career Guidance and Counseling cell is to provide comprehensive guidance through programmes and services that will furnish the students with necessary knowledge, attitude and skills to become a socially empowered woman of 21^st century. The cell nurtures the students through different activities and allows students to cross hurdles during the academic triennium.

The committee in sync with the Proctorial Board helps the students to overcome class, social and cultural barriers thereafter helps them establish themselves rooted to the Sunbeam ethos of duty, devotion & discipline.

Training & Placement Celll

The Training & Placement Cell, Sunbeam Women’s, Varanasi facilitates the process of placement of students passing out from the College besides collaborating with leading organizations and institutes in setting up of placement and training program of students.

The office liaises with various industrial establishments, corporate houses etc which conduct workshops, training & interviews and select graduate students from all disciplines. The Training & Placement Office provides the infra-structural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests and interviews besides catering to other logistics.
The Placement Office is assisted by a committee comprising representatives of teachers and students members are closely co-opted in implementing these policy decisions.

Training & Placement Procedure

The Training and Placement Office sends invitation to Companies along with the required information
2. If the Company/Organization wishes to visit the campus and conduct a Pre-Placement Talk (PPT) before the interview sessions, they can send a request along with the preferred dates
3. Companies can ask for the resumes of interested students and shortlist students
4. Dates are allotted to the company for their recruitment process i.e. interview / GD etc.

Responsibilities of Training & Placement Cell

To invite prospective companies to campus for recruitment.
To register students for the jobs with prescribed qualifications
To arrange for various facilities required on the date of interview
To collect appointment letters and distribute them to selected students.
To provide in plant training at industries.
To achieve maximum possible placements for students.
To guide students on various interview techniques, group discussions, aptitude tests.

Other activities include

Periodic Conduct of IQ tests
Arrangement of Personality Development Workshops
Trains students in aptitude tests, interview techniques, group discussions
Notification regarding various competitive examinations
Organizes industrial visits, educational excursions, workshops & Guest Lectures.
